Pad Certification

One of the most important steps in erecting a home or any other type of structure is establishing the building pad. Also known as Pad Cert, Building Pad Certification, Earthwork Observation Report or Compaction Report.

A Pad Certification Report is created by a licensed professional engineer. A Pad Certification certifies that the building pad was constructed and compacted in accordance with the specifications of the geotechnical report.

Post-Tension Slabs

Post-tension concrete is a method of reinforcing concrete. This concrete has cable conduits cast into it and that cable is stretched or tensioned, hydraulically after the concrete has hardened. The tension is transferred to the concrete, helping hold it together even better. Post-tensioning provides high strength and stability but looks just like any other concrete slab.

Post-tensioned concrete is stronger and more flexible than conventional steel-reinforced concrete. According to the Concrete Network, post-tensioning helps reduce cracking from shrinkage as the concrete dries, and holds together any cracks that do form.

2x6 Construction

Built to last and withhold, every NEXTGEN home is constructed with 2x6 framing through and through.

A few of the benefits of 2X6 construction is it allows for more room to upgrade insulation to a thicker depth. It also allows for the windows to be recessed in giving the exterior of the home a more custom look.

Spray Foam Insulation

As much as 40% of a building’s energy is lost due to air infiltration. Gaps, holes and air leaks can make energy bills unnecessarily high. Spray foam performs as both insulation and an air barrier, closing gaps that let air escape and add dollars to monthly energy bills.

As much as half of the energy used in a home goes to heating and cooling, according to EPA1. Maintaining an optimal heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system can make your home more energy efficient.
